Back in March 1999, when Metro newspaper was first published, it was only available in London. Since then, the phenomenon has grown and we currently have 10 different editions of the paper covering 33 UK cities.
In 2005, we also launched an edition in Dublin – a joint venture between Metro UK, The Irish Times and Metro International. For more information on our Dublin publication, go to www.metroireland.ie
Metro is the UK’s only urban national newspaper. The news section is the same in all editions but each has its own entertainments section, Metro Life, to reflect what’s going on in each of our cities. It’s distributed on public transport networks and in high-traffic commuter zones of each city, with the majority of copies picked up from Metro bins or racks.
You can advertise nationally across all ten editions or specifically in one edition. This makes Metro great for targeted campaigns.
