
Advertorials
An advertorial is best described as a link between advertising and editorial. Its style and content often entices the reader’s eye much than a standard display ad.
As part of a package of solutions, Metro can work with clients to create advertorials or ‘advertisement features’ that highlight detailed information about a brand.
Metro provides copy-writing, artwork services and reproduction, as standard elements of each Advertisement Feature package. Recent clients include: O2, BA Holidays, Virgin Money & Vodafone.
Advertisement Features always run in the back half of the paper. Copy and artwork is subject to editorial approval and the artwork is clearly labelled as ‘ADVERTISEMENT’. The copy will not include any reference to Metro.
As a general guide, content should be based around a low word count, accompanied with bright, eye-catching colourful pictures. The cost guide is based on Metro using library pictures however, photo shoots can be arranged for individual projects with the additional task-related costs.
