Reader Offers

“There’s no such thing as a free lunch”. Not necessarily true, especially if you’re a free newspaper. Have you got something you’d like Metro’s urbanite readers to try for free or at an exclusive discount?

Metro Reader Offers are usually for free food or drink such as a free coffee or Krispy Kreme doughnut. We’ve also run Reader Offers for a bottle of Coors, a 2-for-1 at Strada and even free cab rides courtesy of MarioKart on Nintendo DS.

Brief us with what you’d like to offer and how the readers can get their hands on it, ie. where it is redeemable, how long the offer is valid for and if people need to use a barcode voucher printed in the paper.

We’ll then pitch the idea to the Editor to secure front cover exposure. Our front cover flashes are at the discretion of the Editor and subject to world news.

Reader Offers need a minimum of 10x7 colour space and will usually appear in the front half of the paper.

What are you waiting for? Entice our readers with your free offer – all we insist on is the copy refers to it being an exclusive offer for Metro readers and the Editor must have approval on the artwork.
